Dana to Petra hike

Day one takes you down the sandstone cliffs of Dana Village through the long valley of Wadi Dana . It’s biologically diverse area and a historically important one , too you’ll pass ancient copper mines (earliest copper mines in the world) before you arriving Wadi Malaga where we will spend first night.

The next day we will follow the open valley of wadi Malqa to Ras alfad, passing local Bedouins family along the way , overlooking Wadi Araba desert , reaching Ras Al-Fayd spring, a narrow canyon and then to the camping site.

The third day, from Ras al-Fayd to the towering Sharah Mountains, where there is calm and beautiful views, passing through an ancient Nabataean village and seeing many overlooks, arriving at the Little Petra site , visiting this ancient place then to our Bedouin camp where we will spend this night there.

The last day after arriving a narrow canyon through which we will wind our way to the site of Little Petra then follows Nabataean tracks out of the valley to the dramatic chasm of Siyyagh , when we emerge, we will be rewarded with our first view of Petra’s Monastery, We will explore one of the new seven wonders of the world , Petra or the Pink City on foot, walking towards to the most famous place in Petra (the Treasury). Then through the Siq to the town of Wadi Musa.
